Sapphire blanks/substrates refer to square or circular plate-like materials obtained by orienting, cutting, and rough grinding large-sized sapphire boules. They have not yet undergone final precision polishing (CMP) or patterning processes and serve as intermediate semi-finished products for manufacturing various sapphire end products, such as wafers, optical windows, and cover plates. The core material is α-aluminum oxide (α-Al₂O₃) single crystal with a regular lattice structure.
